A typical config.sys file for a four node system running the X00 Fossil
Driver under Qemm and Desqview with MS-Dos 4.01 and a 4 port serial I/O card:

Can cause problems on a very few systems. Remove if you have unexplained
system crashes. You WILL lose performance with external programs and
protocols, however.
You can also use one interrupt per serial card with all serial ports on
the card sharing the same interrupt. Each card (if more than one) must
use a different interrupt, however. If you do share interrupts, you will
need to modify the above argument line for X00 appropriately. See the
X00 docs for more information on this.
See Config.sys for additional information on some of the above Config.sys
commands and arguments.
NOTE: There are so many variables involved with running a X00
fossil driver that, regretfully, I can not provide
individual assistance on setting it up for a given system.
However, the X00 documentation is very detailed and a
through reading of it should provide all the information that you
need. Again, I strongly suggest that you have your system up and
running stabilely under Desqview BEFORE you attempt to install and use
a fossil driver.
